The formula

Three actives. One stick.

Each one chosen for effects measured in human trials, in the form your body can actually use.

Active 01

Magnesium

as fully chelated magnesium bisglycinate — never oxide
  • Less soreness at 24, 36 and 48 hours after hard training4
  • Sits in the pathway to sleep onset6
  • Gentler on the gut than the oxide most products use
Active 02

Tart cherry extract

Montmorency cultivar, standardised for anthocyanins
  • Faster strength recovery after endurance work1
  • Lower inflammation across consecutive hard days2
  • More total sleep time, measured by actigraphy3
Active 03

Vitamin D3

cholecalciferol — never D2
  • Better force recovery after muscle damage5
  • Acts on the satellite cells that rebuild muscle
  • Commonly low in people who train indoors

Every dose on the label.

No proprietary blends. Nothing added at a level too small to do anything.

  • Three actives, each printed with its amount — no hiding behind a blend name
  • No sucralose, no acesulfame potassium, no caffeine, no added melatonin
  • Third-party tested for potency and heavy metals, with the results published per lot

How it works

Rip. Pour. Go.

Direct-to-mouth powder. No pills to swallow, no drink to mix, no shaker to carry.

Step 01

Tear the stick

One stick is one dose. Nothing to measure or count out.

Step 02

Straight to the mouth

It dissolves on contact, so it goes down without water. Have a glass anyway if you prefer.

Step 03

30–60 min before bed

Every night, training day or not. Judge it after three or four weeks, not one.

The evidence

Backed by human trials.

Four outcomes, measured against placebo in controlled studies. Read them yourself — every citation is at the foot of the page.

Outcome 01

Muscle soreness

  • Soreness ratings significantly lower at 24, 36 and 48 hours after eccentric training, against no change in controls4
Outcome 02

Strength and force recovery

  • Isometric strength returned faster over 48 hours post-marathon1
  • Peak torque recovered better over seven days after damaging work5
Outcome 03

Inflammation

  • Significantly lower inflammatory and oxidative markers across three consecutive days of high-intensity cycling2
Outcome 04

Sleep

  • Melatonin elevated, with total sleep time and sleep efficiency both up — on actigraphy, not self-report3
01
Tart cherry — marathon recovery Randomised, placebo-controlled · n = 20 runners

Isometric strength recovered faster across 48 hours, with lower inflammatory markers.

02
Tart cherry — repeated race days Randomised, placebo-controlled · n = 16 trained cyclists

Significantly lower inflammation and oxidative stress across three consecutive days.

03
Tart cherry — sleep Double-blind, placebo-controlled crossover · n = 20

Melatonin up. Time in bed, total sleep time and sleep efficiency all increased.

04
Magnesium — soreness Double-blind · n = 22 · 10 days

Soreness fell at 24, 36 and 48 hours after eccentric bench press. Controls did not change.

05
Vitamin D3 — muscle repair Randomised, placebo-controlled · n = 20 · 6 weeks

Peak torque recovered better over the week after damaging eccentric work.

These trials tested the ingredients, not PIX — nobody has run a trial on this formula, and we will keep saying so until somebody does. Sample sizes run from 16 to 22 people, which is normal for exercise physiology and still small.

Formulation in progress

Still being tested.

PIX has not been manufactured yet, so there are no amounts on this page. We are sampling real formulations and throwing out the ones that only work by giving something up.

Active load per stick

How much active one direct-to-mouth stick can carry before the texture stops being something you would take willingly every night.

Flavour system

Getting Midnight Sour Cherry right on real tart cherry and minimal sweetening, with no sucralose or acesulfame potassium doing the work.

Magnesium form and tolerance

Fully chelated bisglycinate from suppliers who can document it, assessed for how it actually sits rather than how it reads on a spec sheet.

Dissolve rate

A powder that clears the mouth quickly and cleanly, with water or without it.

The line we will not cross: we are not cutting the dose to make the flavour easier, and we are not making it unpleasant to force a bigger number onto the label. If a formulation only works by sacrificing one for the other, it does not ship.

About PIX

Why I started PIX.

Why should taking care of your recovery require an entire cabinet of bottles?

Aidan Rego Founder, PIX

I never had trouble believing recovery mattered. I had trouble staying consistent with the products that were supposed to support it. Opening several bottles every night, swallowing a handful of pills, replacing whichever ran out first. Pill fatigue is real. I cared about recovery and I skipped it anyway, because the routine had become the chore.

PIX is the answer I wanted. Premium recovery ingredients in a single dissolvable stick you take straight from the pack. Nothing to chug, nothing to mix, no five containers to keep stocked.

It is not built to stay one product. The plan is a complete recovery system, a small set of simple, complementary products held to the same standard. The first stick is where that starts, not the whole of it.

Recovery already asks you for consistency. The products supporting it should not make that harder.

$1 holds a box and the founding price. Nothing else is charged.

  • At 1,000 Formula locked

Hitting the cap is what makes a first run economical, and what triggers production.

  • Before shipping Test results published

Batch 001's certificate of analysis goes on this site. Misses spec, you get refunded.

  • At ship Balance charged

You confirm and pay the remaining balance. Change your mind before this and the $1 comes back.

The $1 is a deposit, not a purchase. It comes off the price when Batch 001 ships, and we refund it on request any time before then.

Questions

Before you spend $1.

Why a deposit instead of just selling me the box?

The product does not exist yet, and taking full payment for something that does not exist is how small brands end up owing people money they have already spent. The $1 proves the demand is real, which is what lets us commit to a production run.

Why are there no amounts on this page?

Because we have not made it yet. Until a run is produced and tested, any number on a pre-launch page is an intention dressed up as a fact. The real supplement facts panel publishes next to the third-party certificate of analysis before anything ships.

When does it ship?

Production starts when the reservations are filled, then manufacturing and testing runs roughly 10 to 14 weeks. We email reservation holders at every stage, including the one where something has slipped.

Is it a sleep aid?

No. It is a recovery formula you take at night, and two of the three ingredients happen to have sleep findings attached. There is no added melatonin and nothing in it is there to knock you out. If your problem is insomnia, see a doctor.

What does it taste like?

Sour. Midnight Sour Cherry is tart cherry with the tartness left in, sweetened lightly and without artificial sweeteners. Closer to unsweetened cherry than to a candy drink mix. Taste matters more for a powder you take straight, so it is the part we are being fussiest about.

Is it tested for banned substances?

Batch 001 is third-party tested for identity, potency, heavy metals and microbials, but it is not certified under a sport-specific program like NSF Certified for Sport. If you compete in a tested sport, treat that as a no for now.

Can I take it with my other supplements?

Watch for doubling up — plenty of multivitamins and greens powders already contain magnesium and vitamin D. Magnesium can also interfere with some antibiotics and matters if you have reduced kidney function. Check with your doctor if you take prescription medication or are pregnant or nursing.

Refunds?

The $1 comes back on request any time before Batch 001 ships, no reason required. Once you have the box you have 30 days — open it, use it, send it back if it did nothing for you.
